Research offer: Single photon detection

Research offer: Single photon detection

Dear colleagues,

Institute for Optoelectronics and Microtechnology (ISOM) at Technical University of Madrid (UPM) offers a research contract for a highly motivated candidate who is determined to participate in a breakthrough project in the field of quantum technologies. The goal of the project is the reliable detection of single photons in two different systems:

(1) Single-photon detection in a QKD (Quantum Key Distribution) system at 1.55 microns.
The detection system includes three avalanche photodiodes (APDs), time-tagging electronics, and dedicated software.

(2) Single-photon detection in a micro-photoluminescence (micro-PL) system in the visible range (400–800 nm).
The detection system includes two avalanche photodiodes (APDs), time-tagging electronics, and dedicated software.
