there is a postdoctoral research opportunity at Institute of Solid State Physics, University of Latvia (ISSP UL, https://www.cfi.lu.lv/en/). We are looking for a motivated and talented Early-Career Researcher or a recent PhD graduate, who is seeking funding for an independent research grant, and has previous experience in semiconductor epitaxy, oxide thin film growth, or related skills. We invite you to apply for a Postdoctoral Research Grant at our Thin films laboratory at ISSP UL!
We offer expert supervision and support for research on Ultrawide Bandgap Semiconductor Epitaxy. ISSP UL has extensive thin film deposition tool park (PLD, MOCVD, DC and RF magnetron sputtering) and 630 m2 clean-room for device micro- & nano-fabrication, as well as many tools for thin film characterization. All this ISSP UL research infrastructure is available via open-access principle (see the full tool list at https://lims.cfi.lu.lv/WebForms/Equipment/EquipmentList.aspx).

While the grant submission final deadline is May 16th, 2025, we are awaiting the applications for the submission until April 4th, 2025, so we can start preparing a competitive proposal together.
