We are pleased to announce the opening for a Research Technologist position at the HMMBE (High Mobility Molecular Beam Epitaxy) Laboratory of the Italian National Research Council, Istituto Officina dei Materiali (CNR-IOM) in Area Science Park, Trieste, Italy.
The position is for 24 months (tenure track, with prospect of permanent position). Possibility of benefitting from 70% tax-free salary upon moving to Italy.
The HMMBE Laboratory is dedicated to the epitaxial synthesis of high quality, high purity III-V semiconductor systems and is involved in several National and European projects. Research is mainly focused on the development of materials and devices for quantum computation, nanophotonics and radiation detectors. Additionally, the lab benefits from a strong synergy with the Elettra Synchrotron Radiation facility and the FERMI Free Electron Laser, Trieste.
We are seeking for a highly motivated scientist to be involved into current and future projects, with a background in the synthesis and/or characterization of thin films and low-dimensional nanostructures.
